NBA Finals Predictions

Golden State Warriors vs Toronto Raptors

The Golden State Warriors enter their 5th straight NBA Finals; a historic team that has a chance to three-peat and win their fourth championship in five years. The Warriors are coming off a sweep of the Portland Trail Blazers in which they trailed for minutes in the series then which they led. The Raptors, however, had a bit of a tougher time dealing with the Milwaukee Bucks who were the NBA’s best team throughout the regular season. Toronto fell 2-0 early in the series before rattling of four straight wins to take the series 4-2 and now enter the franchise’s first ever NBA Finals. Kawhi Leonard has made a case for the best player in the world throughout these playoffs averaging 31 points per game nine rebounds and four assist on 50% shooting from the field and 38% from three point range ridiculous numbers. Kawhi has even received comparisons to Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. However, going up against the Warriors, he’ll need help from Paschal Siakam, Kyle Lowry and the rest of the team in order to beat this juggernaut Golden State team. Even minus Kevin Durant who was just as spectacular as Kawhi throughout the playoffs before going down with a calf injury, in the Western Conference Semi-Finals, which some analyst thought, may sink the Warriors instead it gave us a reminder that Kevin Durant is a luxury not a necessity. Stephen Curry reminded us if he is not the greatest point guard of all time, he’s certainly in the discussion. We’ve been reintroduced to Draymond Green as an elite two-way player and Klay Thompson is being the sniper we know he is. The Warriors are clicking on all cylinders and although the Raptors have a great story and a great #1 fan and sideline coach in the Toronto rapper Drake, I don’t see the Raptors scoring with the Warriors as Golden State may cement themselves as the greatest dynasty we’ve seen.

Warriors 4-2

Finals MVP: Stephen Curry
