San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles
This game is going to be PHYSICAL, two teams with men on both sides who I’m glad I don’t
have to tackle on Sundays. San Francisco ended the Cowboys season last week in a defensive slugfest squawking out a 19-12 victory while the Eagles absolutely embarrassed the Giants 38-7. Rookie quarterback Brock Purdy has been fantastic in his seven starts this season but this may be the best defense he has played thus far. Philadelphia has playmakers at all three levels, and their secondary might tout the best cornerback tandem in league with Darius Slay and James Bradberry. Safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, who was tied for the league in interceptions, is also a member of this deep secondary. The key for San Francisco will be their wide receivers vs the Eagles corners. Can Deebo and Aiyuk create separation against these two stud corners? As much as the 49ers defensive line is discussed, Philadelphia has one, if not just as good, not too far off so they can create pressure on Brock Purdy, and possibly force him into a few turnovers. Can the Eagles give Jalen Hurts enough time to find A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith? The 49ers defense is arguably the best in football, but their secondary is a liability, especially if Nick Bosa and company can’t get to the quarterback. Both these teams run the ball well and even if it’s not as great as normally, I do expect them to run the ball with some form of success. I think the Eagles from start to finish have shown to be the best team in football and in the cold air in Philly, I expect Jalen Hurts to outduel Brock Purdy and send the Eagles
back to the Super Bowl.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Kansas City Chiefs
The world’s most analyzed ankle resides in Kansas City, where Patrick Mahomes and his high
ankle sprain look to exercise their demons from last year’s AFC Championship game, where
they blew a 21-3 lead and lost to....The Bengals! Cincy dismantled the Bills while the Chiefs
were able to escape against the Jaguars with a hobbled Mahomes. These two teams absolutely do not like each other, but the Bengals have defeated Kansas City three times over the past year. Mahomes has practiced fully Wednesday and Thursday, so it seems like he’s in good shape to go on Sunday, but it’ll be different in live game action. Both quarterbacks elevate their game in big moments. The key for the Bengals is forcing that key Chiefs mistake, as they have in the other three games against the Chiefs. Kansas City has to create pressure on Joe Burrow and get sacks. The Chiefs were second in the NFL in sacks, but haven’t really been able to get to Burrow in their previous three meetings. I think the Bengals and their amount of trash talk have the Chiefs motivated, and I feel like KC will play their best game this week against their new biggest rival, and the Chiefs advance to their third Super Bowl in four years to face the Eagles.
