NFL WEEK 18 PREDICTIONS

 RECORD LAST WEEK:12-4

RECORD FOR THE SEASON: 160-91

Saturday,  January 6th, 3:30PM CT

Pittsburgh Steelers 9-7 @ Baltimore Ravens 13-3

Week 18, the final week of the NFL regular season signals a lot of stars being rested for the playoffs, if that team has already clinched a playoff spot. That could be the case for the Ravens as they have already locked in the number one seed in the AFC. Pittsburgh meanwhile has to win to have a chance to make the playoffs. Even if the Ravens do sit some guys they’d love to play spoiler to their AFC North foe and I think they get the job done.

Houston Texans 9-7 @ Indianapolis Colts 9-7

Who would’ve thought at the beginning of the season these two teams would be playing a win and in-game on the final week? Both teams have overachieved, it has been Indy mainly doing it without their rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson, while Houston may have the Rookie of the Year in their quarterback C.J. Stroud. Indy is a tough place to play but in the end, I have more faith in Stroud than Gardner Minshew.

Cleveland Browns 11-5 @ Cincinnati Bengals 8-8

The Browns clinched their ticket to the dance and will be resting Joe Flacco this week. Cincy was eliminated with their loss to the Chiefs but I’m sure Cincy will play hard and try to build momentum going into next season so give me the Bengals here.

Browns 18 Bengals 23

Confidence level:4

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 8-8 @ Carolina Panthers 2-14

The Bucs can clinch the NFC South with a win over the sorry Panthers, even though Tampa didn’t play that well last week against the Saints, they should make easy work of Carolina.

Bucs 27 Panthers 14

Confidence Level:8

Atlanta Falcons 7-9 @ New Orleans Saints 8-8

Both these teams can win the division with a win and a Bucs loss. New Orleans defeated Tampa Bay last week while Atlanta played a subpar game in their loss to the Bears. The Saints could potentially still earn a playoff spot with a win by making the Wild Card, and they should get the win over a Falcons team struggling over the last month.

Falcons 17 Saints 24

Confidence Level:7

Jacksonville Jaguars 9-7 @ Tennessee Titans 5-11

The Jaguars must win to clinch the AFC South, otherwise a loss may have them on the outside looking in for the AFC Playoffs. I expect Trevor Lawrence to play despite numerous injuries and for the Jags to handle business in Nashville.

Jaguars 23 Titans 13

Confidence Level:8

New York Jets 6-10 @ New England Patriots 4-12

These two AFC East teams are playing for nothing but pride. New England plays hard despite their record, and should be able to end their season on a high note against a Jets team that looked like they were ready for vacation last week against the Browns.

Jets 13 Patriots 16

Confidence Level:5

Minnesota Vikings 7-9 @ Detroit Lions 11-5

Minnesota has a very slim chance of making the postseason but they’ll need a win against a Lions team that is fuming after their questionable loss to the Cowboys last week. Detroit should be able to get back on track with a home win.

Chicago Bears 7-9 @ Green Bay Packers 8-8

The Packers find themselves in the same position as they were last season. In the final game of the season, all they have to do is win at home and they’re in. Last year that was spoiled by the Lions, now the Bears look to do the same. This game should be fun but I’ll put my faith in Jordan Love and Green Bay to get the win.

Bears 26 Packers 31

Confidence Level:7

Denver Broncos 8-8 @ Las Vegas Raiders 7-9

The Broncos look to get their first winning season since 2016 while the Raiders are trying to continue their win streak over the Broncos that dates back to 2020. The Raiders, I think, get the best of the Broncos and solidify Antonio Pierce as the full-time head coach in Vegas.

Broncos 17 Raiders 20

Confidence Level:3

Kansas City Chiefs 10-6 @ Los Angeles Chargers 5-11

KC won the AFC West once again and with their spot solidified they’ll be resting Patrick Mahomes this week. However, with Easton Stick starting and how bad the Chargers have been without Herbert and Allen, I don’t see the Panthers beating Blaine Gabbert and the Chiefs on Sunday.

Chiefs 23 Chargers 17

Confidence Level:5

Dallas Cowboys 11-5 @ Washington Commanders 4-12

The Cowboys with a win clinches the NFC East and the number two seed in the NFC. They must defeat a Commanders team that has completely gone off the rails. They should have no problem doing that.

Cowboys 28 Commanders 13

Confidence Level:8

Philadelphia Eagles 11-5 @ New York Giants 5-11

Philly could benefit from a win and a Cowboys loss as they would jump to the second seed in the NFC. These two teams played on Christmas and it came down to the wire but Philly survived. I expect the Giants to play them tough again as the Eagles are struggling to find themselves right now, but I still expect a win from Philly.

Eagles 27 Giants 24

Confidence Level:7

Los Angeles Rams 9-7 @ San Francisco 49ers 12-4

Carson Wentz vs Sam Darnold is the QB Matchup as both teams plan to rest starters before the playoffs. I hope the Rams lock into the sixth seed, setting up a date with the Lions next week in the Wild Card round, but I’m going to pick San Fran to win at home.

Rams 21 49ers 26

Confidence Level:5

Seattle Seahawks 8-8 @ Arizona Cardinals 4-12

The Cardinals defeated the Eagles last week and will try to take that momentum in a game where they can end the Seahawks season. Seattle has to win and have Green Bay lose to make the playoffs. But, with the way Arizona is playing and how bad Seattle is on defense, give me the Cardinals with the upset.

Seahawks 23 Cardinals 26

Buffalo Bills 10-6 @ Miami Dolphins 11-5

It’s more than likely going to be a boring NFL Weekend to the casual eye with so many starters sitting but this game should have all eyes. Buffalo seemed to be on the verge of missing the playoffs a month ago, but a four-game win streak and a Dolphins loss to the Ravens last week has set up Buffalo with a chance to walk into Miami and steal the AFC East. Miami has a plethora of injuries, and although the Bills offense hasn’t been great the last few weeks, I’m going to pick Buffalo to get the win and once again win the AFC East crown.

Bills 29 Dolphins 26

Confidence Level:7.5
