Week 11 NFL Predictions

Thursday, November 14th 7:20 PM CT om FOX

Pittsburgh Steelers 5-4 @ Cleveland Browns 3-6

Both teams got big wins at home last week as the Steelers defeated the Rams and the Browns kept their season alive against the Bills. Pittsburgh’s defense has been unbelievable since acquiring Minkah Fitzpatrick in September. Since then the Steelers have won 5 of 7 and the defense has become a turnover machine. The Browns didn’t look promising last weekend, but they finally pulled out a victory, their first since week 4, and now they hope to build off that momentum. The Browns struggled offensively once again, and against a better offense in Pittsburgh, I expect the Steelers to win their fifth straight game in Cleveland.

New York Jets 2-7 @ Washington Redskins 1-8

The Redskins have not scored a touchdown in three straight games, the first team to do that since 1940, now they look to end that streak at home against a miserable Jets team. The Jets played much better last week winning the battle of New York against the Giants. Dwayne Haskins has been named the starter for the rest of the season, so hopefully he will get better each week, but with the Redskins lack of talent, I believe they lose once again this week.

New Orleans Saints 7-2 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-6

The Saints got embarrassed at home last week against the Falcons, now they travel to Tampa looking to get back on track. Jameis Winston has had some success against the Saints as he has a 3-4 record against them. Winston has been better this season, opening the door for him to possibly keep his job into next season. The Saints, I suspect, will be much more focused after a much-needed wakeup call and they’ll get a win this week, but it won’t come easy.

Saints 26 Bucs 21

Buffalo Bills 6-3 @ Miami Dolphins 2-7

The Bills have been ugly to watch offensively, as their defense has been their main reason for their success. The Dolphins have looked good these past few weeks, coming close in some games, and winning their last two. The Bills lost to the Browns last week in Cleveland, now they hope to get a win in what is becoming a tight AFC wild card race. I think the Dolphins will play the Bills tough, but in the end, Josh Allen will do enough to help the Bills improve to 7-3

Bills 27 Dolphins 20

Jacksonville Jaguars 4-5 @ Indianapolis Colts 5-4

The Jaguars were on a bye while the Colts took a tough loss to the Dolphins last week in Indy. Every Colts game has been decided by one possession, and I don’t expect that to change this season. Nick Foles is back in the starting role, and now they hope to get a much-needed division victory and take a big step in the playoff hunt. The Colts hope to get Jacoby Brissett back this week, but the bigger hope is to get TY Hilton back this week, as they’re 0-5 without Hilton since they drafted him in 2012. The Jaguars have a mediocre run defense and with the Colts great offensive line and Marlon Mack they should be able to take advantage of that. The Colts should rely on their strong run game to end their two-game skid, and beat the Jaguars.

Jaguars 24 Colts 28

Dallas Cowboys 5-4 @ Detroit Lions 3-5-1

The Cowboys lost at home to the Vikings last week as they had questionable plays called in the 4th quarter. Dak Prescott has lost his last three road games against non-NFC East opponents. The Lions have had a rough go of it since the end of September with many heartbreaking defeats. The Cowboys hope to get Ezekiel Elliot going after he was completely a non-factor last week. The Lions could be in line for an upset with Matthew Stafford healthy, but with his back being a problem, Dallas should have no problem getting the victory this week.

Cowboys 27 Lions 16

Atlanta Falcons 2-7 @ Carolina Panthers 5-4

The Falcons came out of the bye week looking like the team I expected them to be before the season. The Falcons will be without tight end Austin Hooper who is having a breakout season. The Falcons turned over defensive play calling to Jeff Ulbrich, and now they look to build on this win. The Panthers took the Packers to the wire last week in Green Bay, but this week I’m picking the upset and going with the Falcons who have won 5 of 6 against the Panthers to build on their momentum.

Falcons 28 Panthers 27

Houston Texans 6-3 @ Baltimore Ravens 7-2

Probably the game of the weekend, DeShaun Watson and the Texans face off against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. The battle of MVP candidates should be electrifying. Houston is coming off a bye and will be fresh, while Baltimore is riding a huge wave of momentum. Both these teams have strong running attacks, with Baltimore first in rushing, and the Texans ranked fourth. Both teams seem to be firing on all cylinders, as the Texans have won four of five, and the Ravens have won five straight. I think this week Lamar improves his MVP stock, and Baltimore wins their sixth straight game.

Texans 27 Ravens 30

Denver Broncos 3-6 @ Minnesota Vikings 7-3

The Vikings picked up a big-time victory last week in Dallas, and for now can quiet the rumors about Kirk Cousins in big games. The Broncos had a bye week, but got a nice victory over the Browns two weeks ago. The Broncos boast one of the leagues top defenses, and with the Vikings explosive offense, this should be a good matchup. However, the Broncos quarterback, Brandon Allen, who made his first career start against Cleveland at home, will now make his first career road start against a stout Vikings defense. The Broncos offense has potential, but they have yet to find their quarterback to win them games like these. The Vikings improve to 8-3.

Broncos 17 Vikings 26

Arizona Cardinals 3-6-1 @ San Francisco 49ers 8-1

The Cardinals gave the 49ers all they could handle a few weeks ago on Thursday night, and now look to pull off the upset while the 49ers took their first loss of the season on Monday night against the Seahawks. The 49ers defense should be mad after what happened Monday and will look to take that out on rookie Kyler Murray, who had possibly his best game of the season last week at Tampa Bay, going 27 of 44 with three touchdowns to one interception. The 49ers are banged up with Matt Breida, Emmanuel Sanders, and George Kittle, all dealing with injuries. I think those injuries will lead to a closer game, but the 49ers defense will help the 49ers prevail.

Cardinals 21 49ers 23

Sunday, November 17th 3:25 PM CT on CBS

New England Patriots 8-1 @ Philadelphia Eagles 5-4

A rematch of Super Bowl 52 the Patriots face the Eagles. Tom Brady and the Patriots got dismantled at the hands of Lamar Jackson and the Ravens two weeks ago, now coming off a bye, they look to bounce back against an inconsistent Eagles team. The Eagles won two straight before they also had their bye last week. The Eagles have the pass rush to cause this New England offense problems. However, can they put up points against this New England defense? The best question is what Eagles team will we see? Four of the last five matchups between these two teams have been decided by one possession including Super Bowl 52, I also think this one will be close, but Brady will find a way in the end.

Patriots 24 Eagles 20

Sunday, November 17th 3:25 PM CT on CBS

Cincinnati Bengals 0-9 @ Oakland Raiders 5-4

The Bengals look like one of the worse teams we’ve seen in a long time, while the Raiders may be one of the better surprises we’ve had this season. The Bengals were embarrassed last week, as they allowed Baltimore to put up an easy 49 points. Running back Josh Jacobs is making a strong case for Offensive Rookie of the Year, and now he faces a Bengals defense that allows 173 rushing yards per game. The Raiders should have no problem with this one.

Bengals 13 Raiders 24

Sunday, November 17th 7:20 PM CT on NBC

Chicago Bears 4-5 @ Los Angeles Rams 5-4

The Bears have lost four of their last five after starting 3-. The Bears beat the Rams last season in Chicago, but the Bears have regressed since then. The Rams lost last week in Pittsburgh only scoring 12 points, now back at home, they look to bounce back to stay right in the wild card race. I expect McVay to get the offense going this week, and for the Rams to get the win.

Bears 16 Rams 21

Monday, November 18th 7:15 PM CT on ESPN

Kansas City Chiefs 6-4 @ Los Angeles Chargers 4-6

The Chiefs and Chargers go head to head in Mexico City on Monday night. The Chiefs got their MVP back last week and he picked up right where he left off, although in a loss. The Chargers who have struggled all season lost a tight battle in Oakland last week. If the Chiefs want to have a deep playoff run, they can’t expect Mahomes to put up points in the high 30’s every week, the defense at some point has got to step up. The Chargers have got to hope Phillip Rivers finally steps up his play, otherwise the Chargers will miss the playoffs. I’m picking the Chiefs to right the ship this week, and get the win in Mexico City.

Chiefs 31 Chargers 27
