WEEK 16 NFL PREDICTIONS

Record Last Week:11-5

Record for the season: 142-80-2

Thursday, December 22nd, 7:15 PM CT

Jacksonville Jaguars 6-8 @ New York Jets 7-7

Both teams are fighting for their playoff lives as the Jaguars and Jets face off led by the top two picks from the 2021 NFL Draft. Trevor Lawrence has been on fire lately and that was never more evident than in the Jaguars 17-point comeback last week versus the Cowboys. Zach Wilson has struggled for the Jets this season but looked decent last week. I think the Jets defense has bailed them out all season and will do so again this week.

Cincinnati Bengals 10-4 @ New England Patriots 7-7

The Bengals just like last season are getting hot at the right time and that’s a scary sight for the rest of the AFC. After a slow start last week against Tampa Bay the Bengals roared back to win 34-23. The Patriots lost on an All-time hilarious blunder last week against the Raiders. I don’t see the Bengals losing right now but New England will also give them a tough game.

Confidence Level:7

Buffalo Bills 11-3 @ Chicago Bears 3-11

The Bills got a huge win last week over the Dolphins now they head to the Windy City to play Justin Fields and DA’ Bears. The Bills are trying to maintain the one seed in the AFC and cannot afford to have slip-ups against teams like the Bears. Justin Fields will make his plays but in the end, Buffalo gets the win.

Bills 34 Bears 24

Confidence Level:9

Atlanta Falcons 5-9 @ Baltimore Ravens 9-5

It’s a possibility the Ravens have Lamar Jackson back this week but even if they don’t they should be able to handle the faltering Falcons. Atlanta started rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder last week in their loss to the Saints. Baltimore gets their 10th win.

Falcons 13 Ravens 24

New York Giants 8-5-1 @ Minnesota Vikings 11-3

The Giants got a massive win over the Commanders last Sunday night while the Vikings completed the biggest comeback in NFL history last week against the Colts. The Vikings defense can’t stop anyone right now but the offense should be able to come through and secure the win.

Giants 24 Vikings 28

Confidence Level:6

Detroit Lions 7-7 @ Carolina Panthers 5-9

There is a legit chance for the Lions to make the playoffs. They’re 6-1 in their last seven games and sit only a half-game back of the final wild-card spot in the NFC. Carolina also somehow still has a chance to win their division. I expect the Lions to keep their hot streak rolling and get the win on the road.

Lions 24 Panthers 16

Confidence Level:7

New Orleans Saints 5-9 @ Cleveland Browns 6-8

The Browns got their first win in the Deshaun Watson era last week over the Ravens. I think as Watson plays more you’ll see him return more to his old form and the Browns offense will start rolling.

Saints 17 Browns 23

Confidence Level:4

Seattle Seahawks 7-7 @ Kansas City Chiefs 11-3

I’m expecting a high-scoring game between these two teams as both have good offenses well in the Chiefs case a great offense but they also have mediocre to bad defenses. The Seahawks have fallen off completely while the Chiefs are winning they don’t look as good as they did earlier in the season. Seattle needs this win to keep up with the other NFC Wild Card teams but Patrick Mahomes should light them up and keep KC in the hunt for the number one overall seed in the AFC.

Seahawks 23 Chiefs 35

Confidence Level:9

Houston Texans 1-12-1 @ Tennessee Titans 7-7

The Titans once had a stranglehold on the AFC South now they’re fighting to keep it as the Jaguars sit only a game back. Houston has played tough in recent weeks and even took the Chiefs to overtime last week. I think we see a big game from Derrick Henry this week to get the Titans back on track.

Texans 21 Titans 24

Saturday, December 24th, 3PM Games

Washington Commanders 7-6-1 @ San Francisco 49ers 10-4

The Commanders suffered a defeat to the Giants last weekend even though they still hold the final Wild Card spot it doesn’t help that they now have to play the 49ers who look even better with Brock Purdy than they did Jimmy G. The 49ers should get another win and put an even bigger dent in the Commanders playoff hopes.

Commanders 14 49ers 26

Confidence Level:8

Philadelphia Eagles 13-1 @ Dallas Cowboys 10-4

This game had a lot more exciting when we thought Jalen Hurts would be playing but now with his banged-up shoulder, the Eagles will turn to Gardner Minshew who is more than capable of getting the job done. Dallas blew a 17-point lead last week to the Jaguars and hasn’t looked as good defensively in recent weeks. But, with Minshew starting I think Dallas should be able to get a win over their rivals.

Eagles 24 Cowboys 30

Confidence Level:4

Saturday, December 24th, 7:15 PM CT

Las Vegas Raiders 6-8 @ Pittsburgh Steelers 6-8

These two teams come in clinging to their playoff lives. Vegas got a crazy win over the Patriots while the Steelers dominated the Panthers. It sounds like Pittsburgh should have Kenny Pickett back this week but in the end, I’ll roll with who I think is the better team.

Raiders 23 Steelers 20

Confidence Level:2

Sunday, December 25th, Noon CT

Green Bay Packers 6-8 @ Miami Dolphins 8-6

The Packers are one loss away from being eliminated from playoff contention. Miami has lost three straight games but looked really good in their defeat last week versus Buffalo. Miami has had a bad defense all season, which means Rodgers should be able to keep Green Bay in this game, but in the end, Miami will end the Packers playoff hopes and their three-game losing streak.

Packers 30 Dolphins 34

Confidence Level: 6

Sunday, December 25th, 3:30 PM CT

Denver Boncos 4-10 @ Los Angeles Rams 4-10

Coming into the season this looked to be a very fun game. Sadly, these two teams have been major disappointments. The Broncos will have Russell Wilson back and they have the better defense I expect a Christmas day victory for the Broncos.

Broncos 20 Rams 16

Confidence Level:1

Sunday, December 25th, 7:20 PM CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6-8 @ Arizona Cardinals 4-10

The Cardinals could be down to their third-string quarterback Trace McSorley. Both these teams lost last week and will look to bounce back. The Buca even with all their issues should be able to handle business versus Arizona.

Bucs 21 Cardinals 18

Confidence Level:8

Monday, December 26th,, 7:15 PM CT

Los Angeles Chargers 8-6 @ Indianapolis Colts 4-9-1

The Colts are coming off a loss in a game in which they held a 33-point lead at one point. Jonathan Taylor is out for the rest of the year and Matt Ryan has been benched for Nick Foles. The Chargers didn’t look good last week but still got the win over the Titans. Herbert and the Chargers will play much better this week and get the win.

Chargers 29 Colts 17

Confidence Level:7
