Happy New Year! RECORD LAST WEEK 11-5 RECORD FOR THE SEASON 150-88-1
Sunday, January 2, 2022, 12:00 PM
Philadelphia Eagles 8-7 @ Washington Football Team 6-9
The Eagles have fought all season now they control the number seven seed if they win out, Philadelphia will be in the playoffs. Washington has allowed 41.5 ppg over the last two weeks essentially, ending any chance they had of making the playoffs. Philly, I suspect, will continue to play to their strengths of running the ball, controlling the clock, and playing stout defense, and it will lead them to a victory.
Eagles 24 - Football Team 14
Los Angeles Rams 11-4 @ Baltimore Ravens 8-7
The Rams have gotten things together, winning four straight games and sitting in the second seed in the NFC. Baltimore and the injuries they’ve suffered have caught up to them. They were just a top two seed in the AFC a month ago, now sit outside looking in. Not sure about Lamar Jackson status, but the Rams seem to be getting more dangerous as they have found their identity.
Rams 28 - Ravens 27
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 11-4 @ New York Jets 4-11
Tom Brady is 29-6 in his career versus the Jets, and I don’t see the Jets having better luck this week. The Jets defense has been ravaged by COVID and although the Bucs have had some injuries on offense, the Jets still don’t stand a chance. Bucs 35 - Jets 14
Miami Dolphins 8-7 @ Tennessee Titans 10-5
The Dolphins are winners of seven straight games, and now have a big test, traveling to play the Titans. Since week 9, the Dolphins are only allowing 11.7 ppg, which is the fewest in that span. The Titans got a huge win last week over the 49ers in which AJ Brown returned and made a huge difference. I do think the Titans will get a win as their defense has carried them, and now, with some of their weapons getting healthy, the offense should be able to do enough for the win.
Dolphins 17 - Titans 21
Jacksonville Jaguars 2-13 @ New England Patriots 9-6
Jacksonville has been the worst team in the league by far, and now they get to play a Patriots team desperate for a win. The Patriots should get the victory with relative ease.
Jaguars 6 - Patriots 24
Las Vegas Raiders 8-7 @ Indianapolis Colts 9-6
The Colts have made me look good the past few weeks, with upset wins over the Patriots and Cardinals. Now, they look to carry that momentum into this weekend against Las Vegas. The Raiders defeated the Broncos last week and surprisingly, would be in the playoffs if they
started today. The road team has won the game between these two teams the last three times, but I think Indy will get the win this week. Raiders 23 - Colts 26
Kansas City Chiefs 11-4 @ Cincinnati Bengals 9-6
Kansas City has allowed 12.9 ppg since week 8 and guess what? Their offense has found its stride. KC has scored 30+ points in three straight games but must meet a Bengals team who has some offensive firepower of their own. The Bengals put on an absolute show versus the Ravens last week and Cincy pulled off an incredible feat. Having a 4,000-yard passer, a 1,000-yard rusher, and two 1,000-yard receivers. The Bengals may give the Chiefs trouble, but I think KC will pull out the win.
Chiefs 31 - Bengals 24
New York Giants 4-11 @ Chicago Bears 5-10
The Giants are horrible, just horrible, and they will make the Bears look good this week. Justin Fields has gotten better as the season has gone on and I think Fields and Darnell Mooney will have a great game this week. Giants 14 - Bears 20
Atlanta Falcons 7-8 @ Buffalo Bills 9-6
The Falcons have been a tough team this season and are headed in the right direction, but that doesn’t mean that they’ll beat Buffalo. The Bills seem to have figured things out offensively and are once again atop the AFC East. Josh Allen and the Bills get their 10th win. Falcons 20 - Bills 31
Sunday, January 2, 2022, 3:05 PM Houston Texans 4-11 @ San Francisco 49ers 8-7 The Texans got an incredible win last week over the Chargers, now they look to defeat another California team in San Francisco. The 49ers lost to the Titans last week on a last second field goal and look to bounce back. I’m sure the 49ers have been ready to play again after their loss and they should have no troubles against the Texans. Texans 10 - 49ers 27
Denver Broncos 7-8 @ Los Angeles Chargers 8-7
The Broncos suffered a close loss to the Raiders last week and now are going through Covid issues. The Chargers suffered a huge loss to the Texans last week and will be ready to bounce back after the loss. The first time these two teams met this season, Denver won handily 28-13. This time I don’t expect that same success.
Broncos 17 - Chargers 27
Sunday, January 2, 2022, 3:25 PM
Carolina Panthers 5-10 @ New Orleans Saints 7-8
The Cam Newton Panthers reunion hasn’t worked the way many hoped, and after another loss last week, it’s all but confirmed, Carolina will be hunting for another quarterback this off season. New Orleans suffered a loss to the Dolphins on Monday night and now they face
a must win this week. The Saints defense will force turnovers and get the win to keep their season alive. Panthers 13 - Saints 22
Detroit Lions 2-12-1 @ Seattle Seahawks 5-10
The Lions have been a very competitive team, but just haven’t been able to pull out the wins. Seattle is having their worst season in a decade. Detroit will give Seattle trouble, but Russ and the Seahawks will pull out the W. Lions 19 - Seahawks 23
Arizona Cardinals 10-5 @ Dallas Cowboys 11-4
The Cardinals have fallen off completely after starting 7-0, they’re 3-5 since that point. Dallas had a rough stretch but seem to have gotten past that and it showed in a blowout win over Washington last week. I am going with Dallas this week to keep sending Arizona spiraling. Cardinals 24 - Cowboys 28
Sunday, January 2, 2022, 7:20 PM
Minnesota Vikings 7-8 @ Green Bay Packers 12-3
The Vikings had the potential to be a playoff team but have fallen off and now their playoff hopes are very slim. The Vikings defeated Green Bay a month ago, but Rodgers and Green Bay will avenge that loss this week. Vikings 28 - Packers 31
Monday, January 3, 2022, 7:15 PM
Cleveland Browns 7-8 @ Pittsburgh Steelers 7-7-1
Whoever loses this game is basically eliminated from the playoffs. Cleveland will get a ton of people back from COVID and they’ll need all hands-on deck. Pittsburgh got absolutely thrashed last week by the Chiefs, but I think they’re too well coached and Pittsburgh will keep their playoff hopes alive.
Browns 20 - Steelers 24
