WEEK 18 NFL PREDICTIONS

RECORD LAST WEEK 13-3

RECORD FOR THE SEASON 163-91-1

Saturday January 8th, 2022, 3:30 PM

Kansas City Chiefs 11-5 @ Denver Broncos 7-9

The Kansas City Chiefs blew a 28-17 halftime lead to the Bengals last week suffering their first loss since October. The Broncos were destroyed by the Chargers 34-14 ending any hope they had of making the postseason. Kansas City is still hoping to get homefield advantage throughout the playoffs but for those dominoes to fall in place they will have to take care of business in Denver which I believe they will.

Chiefs 31 Broncos 17

Dallas Cowboys 11-5 @ Philadelphia Eagles 9-7

Both teams have playoff spots secured so this game is essentially meaningless and I’m not sure how much the starters will play. The Eagles have won their last two contest against Dallas in Philadelphia, and I feel like this game will make it three in a row.

Cowboys 23 Eagles 24

Sunday January 9th, 2022, 12:00 PM

Green Bay Packers 13-3 @ Detroit Lions 2-13-1

I expect Green Bay to rest Aaron Rodgers and his injured toe this weekend especially after Green Bay locked up the number one seed last weekend... Detroit has to be one of the best two-win teams I have ever seen, and I do expect them to put up a fight but not enough to get the win.

Packers 20 Lions 16

Indianapolis Colts 9-7 @ Jacksonville Jaguars 2-14

The Colts had a great opportunity to lock up a playoff spot last week but fell short to the Raiders. Now they must secure a win this week against Jacksonville otherwise they’d miss out on the playoffs after the incredible work they did defeating Buffalo, New England, and Arizona. I don’t expect them to squander this opportunity as MVP candidate Jonathon Taylor will run through Jacksonville and their weak run defense.

Colts 27 Jaguars 10

Washington Football Team 6-10 @ New York Giants 4-12

Another team I had decent expectations for was Washington as I thought their defense would carry over into this year and that their offense would make take a step forward. Neither of those things happened now they play the Giants who are just abysmal. Washington ends their season with a win.

Football Team 21 Giants 17

Chicago Bears 6-10 @ Minnesota Vikings 7-9

I really had high hopes for this Vikings team going into the season but due to poor defense and poor coaching the Vikings will miss the postseason once again. The Bears are what I expected them to be and that’s a poorly coached team who wasted their championship defense. The Vikings should end their season with a win over their NFC North rivals.

Bears 26 Vikings 31

Tennessee Titans 11-5 @ Houston Texans 4-12

The Titans with a win would surprisingly lock up homefield advantage throughput the playoffs with a win and to do that they will have to defeat a Texans team that has been much more competitive the past month. Houston defeated the Titans in their first meeting, but I don’t see that happening as Tennessee knows what is at stake this weekend.

Titans 24 Texans 13

Pittsburgh Steelers 8-7-1 @ Baltimore Ravens 8-8

Both teams need magic to happen for them to make the playoffs however the magic begins with a win. The Steelers will have Big Ben for what could possibly be his last game in the NFL while the Ravens hope to have Lamar Jackson back taking snaps. The Ravens have been competitive without Lamar but for this game I think he will be back, and I think the Ravens will defeat the inconsistent Steelers.

Steelers 20 Ravens 24

Cincinnati Bengals 10-6 @ Cleveland Browns 7-9

Joe Burrow and the Bengals clinched the AFC North in a wild victory over the Chiefs last week and now they will sit Burrow for this week after he banged up his knee. The Browns have had one of the most disappointing seasons in the league. Cleveland after making the playoffs last season took an incredible step back this year. I believe with Burrow out however the Browns will wrap their season up with a win.

Bengals 17 Browns 19

Sunday January 9th, 2022,3:25 PM

San Francisco 49ers 9-7 @ Los Angeles Rams 12-4

The 49ers can clinch a playoff spot with a win while the Rams can clinch the NFC West and the number two seed in the NFC. San Francisco defeated the Rams handily earlier in the season but that was when the Rams were still trying to get their chemistry down with their new players. I believe in my Super Bowl pick to win this week.

49ers 20 Rams 27

Carolina Panthers 5-11 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers 12-4

The Panthers have completely fallen off since signing Cam Newton and I see nothing that will make them defeat Tampa Bay.

Panthers 17 Bucs 30

Seattle Seahawks 6-10 @ Arizona Cardinals 11-5

The Seahawks are playing for nothing other than pride while Arizona looks to continue the momentum, they got from beating Dallas last week. Arizona has a chance to pass up the Rams but as you can see, I don’t have the Rams losing so Arizona wins this week and prepares for a rematch in Dallas.

Seahawks 27 Cardinals 28

New England Patriots 10-6 @ Miami Dolphins 8-8

The Patriots clinched a playoff berth last week and now still have a chance at the AFC East title while the Dolphins came back to Earth last weekend against the Titans. Miami will provide a good challenge to New England but I have New England pulling out a tight win.

Patriots 21 Dolphins 18

New Orleans Saints 8-8 @ Atlanta Falcons 7-9

The Saints need a win and a 49ers loss to make the playoffs and while the Saints quarterback situation has been ugly their defense has picked up the slack. The Falcons can play spoiler this week by beating their NFC South rival, but I think the Saints are too well coached and too good on defense to lose this week.

Saints 20 Falcons 19

New York Jets 4-12 @ Buffalo Bills 10-6

The Bills need a win to clinch the AFC East for the second straight season and to do that they’ll have to beat the Jets. New York has played better since the return of rookie quarterback Zach Wilson who seems to be improving week after week. I believe the Jets will keep it close, but Buffalo will pull away in the end.

Jets 16 Bills 28

Sunday January 9th, 2022,7:15 PM

Los Angeles Chargers 9-7 @ Las Vegas Raiders 9-7

The game of the week is being played in Las Vegas as the Chargers and Raiders play an early playoff game. The winner of this game makes the playoffs the loser well will have to sit with you and I on the couch. Darren Waller is expected to return for the Raiders this week and with Josh Jacobs playing his best ball of the season the Raiders are clicking at the right time. These two teams played a very competitive game very early in the season a game that the Chargers got the win in. The Chargers defense worries me, but Justin Herbert doesn’t I’m going with the Chargers.

Chargers 31 Raiders 27
