Tennessee Titans 1-1 @ Jacksonville Jaguars 0-2
A showdown between two AFC South foes is coming off to a disappointing week with two losses; the Titans visit the Jaguars. The Titans probably should’ve won last week but faltered in the 4th quarter against the Colts. Jacksonville played in a defensive battle against the Texans in Houston in which Jacksonville lost trying for the two-point conversion to win the game. Jacksonville has had some drama this week as their best player and arguably the best cornerback in the league Jalen Ramsey asked for a trade. It appears next week he’ll be traded, but he’ll be playing tonight for Jacksonville. The Titans have a good team that may have been underrated coming into the season. This should be a defensive slug fest but deploying the weapon of mass destruction that is Derrick Henry on a defense on a short week with little rest for the Jaguars give me the Titans.

Cincinnati Bengals 0-2 @ Buffalo Bills 2-0
The Bengals went from showing promise in week one to be an absolute dumpster fire in week two by suffering a 41-10 thumping to the 49ers at home. Buffalo had a slow start against the Giants before quarterback Josh Allen started to show the promise the Bills were looking to see coming into this season. Buffalo could really use a 3-0 start especially with New England in the division. Buffalo’s defense is not talked about like the Bears or the Cowboys, but they are very stout. I think the Bengals will come out hot after embarrassing themselves last week, but Buffalo is a tough place to play and I expect the Bills to start their season 3-0 for the first time since 2011.

Miami Dolphins 0-2 @ Dallas Cowboys 2-0
The first two weeks of the season, the Dolphins has one of the worst point differentials through two weeks in NFL history. They have been out scored by a combined score of 102-10. That won’t get much better this week against the Cowboys whose offense has much better although not the best competition still you can see a more creative offense from new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. Dak Prescott has really shown the most improvement from the new offense as he has seven touchdowns to one interception so far. This should be another dominant week for Dak and the Cowboys.

Atlanta Falcons 1-1 @ Indianapolis Colts 1-1
Both teams got big wins last week. The Falcons knew they had to bounce back after not showing up week one versus the Vikings. The Colts continue to show tremendous fight as last week they grinded out a 19-17 win over the Titans. The Falcons need to string together wins now as they have a chance to run away with the division early due to Drew Brees having thumb surgery, which will require a 6-8 week healing period. The Colts may be down linebacker Darius Leonard and that doesn’t bode well for them especially with their pour secondary. The Colts are a gusty team, but Atlanta has too much firepower for Indy.

New York Jets 0-2 @ New England Patriots 2-0
Coming into the season, I had high hopes for the Jets. That hope has already faded after Sam Darnold has been ruled out indefinitely with mono, and backup Trevor Siemian fractured his ankle. Now the hope lies in third string quarterback Luke Faulk to keep the Jets afloat. I don’t need to say much about New England besides what we already know. This may be the most dominant team they’ve put together and now you must wonder who can stop them? It won’t be the Jets.

Detroit Lions 1-0-1 @ Philadelphia Eagles 1-0
The Lions barely hung on to win last week against the Chargers after underrated star corner Darius Slay picked off Phillip Rivers in the endzone to seal the deal. The Eagles played a tough game Sunday night, as they fell just short losing 24-20 to the Falcons. The Eagles are a beat-up football team suffering injury left and right it seems. Philly had to take an extra day off practice this week due to their injuries. The Lions should look at this as a chance to steal one from an NFC powerhouse. This one will be close, but I believe Carson Wentz and company will pull it out at home.

Oakland Raiders 1-1 @ Minnesota Vikings 1-1
Both teams suffered division losses last week as the Raiders felt the wrath of Patrick Mahomes, and the Vikings got a hot start from Aaron Rodgers before storming back, but ultimately, they fell short. Both teams could use this game to keep pace early in the season. The Raiders are a better team than I thought they would be coming into the season. The Vikings and their new zone run scheme with Dalvin Cook is excelling. The Raiders quick pass attack can work against the Vikings keeping their pass rushers at bay, but I feel in the end the Raiders secondary will get torched by Stefon Diggs and Adam Theilen.

Denver Broncos 0-2 @ Green Bay Packers 2-0
The Broncos suffered a heart-breaking loss last week to the Bears, now they must regroup and play oh well no other than Aaron Rodgers in Lambeau. The Packers defense has been carrying them so far this season which is a scary sight because when Rodgers and the offense finally click the rest of the NFL should shake in their boots. Denver’s defense will keep them in it, but their offense won’t be able to capitalize on the chances they are given.

Baltimore Ravens 2-0 @ Kansas City Chiefs 2-0
The game of the week in my opinion we get to see two of the games youngest and brightest quarterbacks Lamar Jackson vs Patrick Mahomes. This should be an extremely fun game like the one these two teams had last December a game in which the Chiefs pulled it out in overtime 27-24. Lamar Jackson has improved as a passer and now he gets to lay a poor Chiefs defense. On the other end is MVP Patrick Mahomes, and it seems as though it doesn’t matter what defense he plays he shines. The Ravens defense is one of the tougher ones, but I don’t think the Ravens will be able to contain him enough to come out with the victory.

New York Giants 0-2 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1-1
The Daniel Jones era begins in New York as head coach Pat Shurmur has decoded to bench long time quarterback Eli Manning. Jones will have to face a tough defense who have come through for the Bucs so far this season. I think the Giants will rely on Saquon Barkley a lot this game to take the pressure off the rookie Jones, but Tampa will play well enough on offense and ride their defense to a win.

Carolina Panthers 0-2 @ Arizona Cardinals 0-1-1
The Panthers seem to be being held back by the quickly regressing Cam Newton his shoulder still seems to be a problem and now he has reinjuring his foot last week against the Buccaneers. The Cardinals have played well at times and they’ve been terrible at others, and you can see the potential from Kyler Murray. This game is difficult because we don’t know if Newton will play or if Carolina will go to war with backup Kyle Allen, but I feel as though number one overall pick Kyler Murray gets his first win this week.

New Orleans Saints 1-1 @ Seattle Seahawks 2-0
The Saints suffered a tough blow losing quarterback Drew Brees for two months last week against the Rams, now they will deploy a two-quarterback game plan using both Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill. Head coach Sean Payton probably has something up his sleeve with those two, and with weapons Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara, the Saints may be able to survive Brees’ absence. Russell Wilson and the Seahawks are 2-0 and look to be a threat in the NFC. It’s always hard to win in Seattle with that crowd. With the always underappreciated Russell Wilson at the helm with weapons Tyler Lockett, Rashaad Penny, and DK Metcalf, this Seahawks team should move to 3-0 this week.

Pittsburgh Steelers 0-2 @ San Francisco 49ers 2-0
The Steelers are off to a super slow start, and I can’t see it getting any better for them after losing quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for the season to an elbow injury. The 49ers are off to a good start at 2-0 and the offense and defense seem to be clicking. The more Jimmy Garoppolo plays, the more you can see the potential people have seen for so long in him. Last week he tossed three touchdowns in route to a 41-10 win over the Bengals. I think San Francisco will rattle Mason Rudolph and handle this won smoothly.

Houston Texans 1-1 @ Los Angeles Chargers 1-1
The Texans escaped last week against the Jaguars while the Chargers fell short against the Lions. The Texans aren’t good at protecting quarterback Deshaun Watson while the Chargers boast two good pass rushers in Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram. The Texans do however have on the other end JJ Watt and the Chargers have several injuries to key players. I think Bosa and Ingram will get after Watson, but his ability to scramble and evade pressure plus having arguably the best wide receiver in football in Deandre Hopkins will lead to a Houston victory.

Los Angeles Rams 2-0 @ Cleveland Browns 1-1
The Rams and Browns should spark some fireworks in Cleveland. The Rams dominated the Saints last Sunday and Jared Goff showed his MVP potential. Now they travel to Cleveland for a showdown with Baker Mayfield and company. The Browns won against a banged-up Jets team on Monday night, but now this team with so many expectations get their first real test. The Rams have Aaron Donald and the Browns have Myles Garrett two of the best pass rushers in football. Donald should have a field day against this terrible Cleveland offensive line. The Rams will have to stop Odell Beckham Jr who reminded everyone of his dynamic ways on Monday night he had six catches for 161 yards and a career long 89-yard touchdown. Cleveland however has yet to click offensively and the Rams are used to the prime-time lights. I think the Rams pull it out.

Chicago Bears 1-1 @ Washington Redskins 0-2 on ESPN
The Bears escaped in Denver last week after a few referee blunders helped the Bears to victory while the Redskins lost to the Cowboys. Quarterback Mitch Tribusky has held back a very talented team in the Bears, and although this game has upset potential with the Redskins being at home, I think Khalil Mack and the defense will prevent that and save their team once again.
