WEEK 6 NFL PREDICTIONS

Record through 6 weeks 48-32

Thursday, October 14th - 8:20 PM ET Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4-1 @ Philadelphia Eagles 2-3 Thursday night games are never easy, and I don’t expect this to be any different. Tom Brady and the Bucs travel to Philadelphia to play a young dangerous Eagles team. The Bucs played a tight game last week against the Dolphins before blowing the game open with a 21- point fourth quarter to ultimately win 45-17. Brady threw for 411 yards and five touchdowns. The Eagles picked up a big win on the road last week versus the Panthers. The Eagles defense, particularly their pass defense, which ranks third in the NFL, has been their strength so far through six weeks. I believe in the end Brady and his plethora of weapons will be too much for the Eagles defense.

Buccaneers 30 - Eagles 21

Sunday, October 17th - 9:30 AM ET Miami Dolphins 1-4 @ Jacksonville Jaguars 0-5 For the second week in a row the NFL will have a game in London as the Dolphins and Jaguars hope to end their losing streaks. The Dolphins lost last week to the Bucs 45-17 while the Jags suffered a 37-19 defeat to the Titans. If there was any week for the Jaguars to get their first win of the season this would be it. Both teams have been awful defensively. The Jaguars have lost 20 straight games dating back to week one of the 2020 season. I believe this is the week they end the streak. Dolphins 23 - Jaguars 26

Sunday, October 17th - 1:00 PM ET Kansas City Chiefs 2-3 @ Washington Football Team 2-3

The Chiefs could use a game like this to get their confidence back up as they are truly having a Super Bowl hangover. However, this isn’t the easiest “get right” game to have. Washington has a ton of talent on both sides however, their defense which was supposed to be elite has just been awful. I expect Mahomes and company to have a huge bounce back game offensively, and for the defense to force a few turnovers from Taylor Heinicke and the Washington offense. Chiefs 35 - Football Team 23

Green Bay Packers 4-1 @ Chicago Bears 3-2 An NFC North showdown takes place as Aaron Rodgers leads the Packers into Soldier Field to face the Bears. The Packers have won four straight, but suffered a scare last week against the Bengals escaping with a 25-22 win after a wild ending. Last week, the Bears defeated the Raiders 20-9 in Las Vegas, and now have won two straight games with rookie quarterback Justin Fields starting. Aaron Rodgers in his illustrious career is 21-5 against the Bears, and although the Bears defense has been great this season, it just seems like the Packers are getting better and better each week. Packers 28 - Bears 21

Cincinnati Bengals 3-2 @ Detroit Lions 0-5 The Bengals had tremendous potential coming into the season, but I certainly didn’t expect them to look this good this fast. They had several chances to beat the Packers last week, but due to missed kicks at the end of regulation and overtime, they suffered a 25-22 defeat. The Lions have suffered heartbreaking loss after heartbreaking loss. They’re not far off from breaking through for that first win, but sadly, I feel they lose another close game this week.

Bengals 23 - Lions 20

Houston Texans 1-4 @ Indianapolis Colts 1-4 Man, isn’t this game funny? The Texans blew a 22-9 lead and ended up losing to the Patriots 25-22. The Colts were up 25-9 before ultimately losing to the Ravens in overtime 31-25. Both teams are still in striking distance of the Titans who sit atop the AFC South, but only one of these teams has the talent to make a run at them.

Texans 17 - Colts 24

Los Angeles Rams 4-1 @ New York Giants 1-4 The Rams are making me more confident by the week, when I picked them to represent the NFC in this year’s Super Bowl, I made the right decision. The offense has been legit, minus a one game dud against the Cardinals. The defense still needs to make strides, but they have the talent to do so. Los Angeles is coming off a big win in Seattle last Thursday, and now well rested, travel to New York to face the Giants. New York suffered injuries to several key offensive contributors last week in Dallas, such as quarterback Daniel Jones, running back Saquon Barkley, and wide receiver Kenny Golladay. I expect the Rams to have no trouble defeating the Giants this week and improving to 5-1. Rams 34 - Giants 16

Minnesota Vikings 2-3 @ Carolina Panthers 3-2 The Vikings have the talent, but it seems like we never know which team we’ll get on a week-to-week basis. Last week they struggled with the Lions, but looked dominant a few weeks back against the Seahawks. The Panthers have lost two straight after a 3-0 start. They hope to get back on track this week. Sam Darnold came back to earth last week, throwing three interceptions in the loss to the Eagles. I believe the Vikings are starting to figure it out, but like I said earlier, I don’t know what to expect from them. I’m cautiously picking them this week. Vikings 21 - Panthers 17

Los Angeles Chargers 4-1 @ Baltimore Ravens 4-1 This game has me contemplating buying a flight to Baltimore to attend this game. The Chargers have been one of the biggest surprises this season, and are on a three-game win streak that includes wins over the Chiefs, Raiders, and Browns. The Ravens are

on a four-game win streak. Although, over lesser competition than the Chargers, they have looked good in wins over the Chiefs, Lions, Broncos, and Colts...and then, are we sure these aren’t the two MVP favorites? Justin Herbert and Lamar Jackson have been putting on a show through five weeks. I have doubted both teams throughout the season and probably will change my pick all the way up to kickoff, but I am going with the Chargers to get another win over a quality opponent. Chargers 31 - Ravens 28

Sunday, October 17th 4:05 PM ET Arizona Cardinals 5-0 @ Cleveland Browns 3-2 This game, like the Chargers Ravens, makes me want to buy a ticket. The Cardinals are the last unbeaten team in the NFL and yes, the offense has been great, but it’s been their defense, which has been a top 10 unit this season that has truly made them elite. The Browns suffered a 47-42 defeat last week to the Chargers, now back in Cleveland, they are favored to win. Both defenses have been good despite Cleveland’s slip up last week in LA. A lot of the media will probably pick the Browns to give the Cardinals their first loss but, I believe Arizona moves to 6-0 this week. Cardinals 34 - Browns 31

Sunday, October 17th 4:25 PM ET Games Dallas Cowboys 4-1 @ New England Patriots 2-3 The Cowboys are, dare I say...Exceeding expectations! They have been unstoppable offensively and getting timely turnovers from the defense. Cornerback Trevon Diggs leads the NFL with six interceptions and the Cowboys lead the NFL with 10 interceptions. The Patriots got a comeback win last week against the Texans and although, I believe Bill will find a way to at least put speed bumps in front of the Cowboys’ offense. I don’t think he will be

able to slow them down enough for a win.

Cowboys 27 - Patriots 20

Las Vegas Raiders 3-2 @ Denver Broncos 3-2 The Raiders and head coach Jon Gruden parted ways Monday after emails leaked with Gruden saying some very disrespectful things. Now, the team must block out that distraction and go on the road to a very difficult place, and get a win. The Broncos are coming off a loss in Pittsburgh, where they played very flat for most of the game. Both of these teams started 3-0 could really use this win, and with it being in Denver, and all the distractions the Raiders have faced, I believe the Broncos pick up a big AFC West win. Raiders 20 - Broncos 23

Sunday, October 17th - 8:20 PM ET Seattle Seahawks 2-3 @ Pittsburgh Steelers 2-3 The Seahawks suffered the double whammy last week, as they not only lost to the Rams 26-17, but also lost star quarterback Russell Wilson to a fractured right middle finger. Wilson is expected to be out 4-6 weeks. The Steelers picked up a win last week against the Broncos that ended a 3-game losing streak. Geno Smith didn’t look bad in relief for Wilson, but this week in Pittsburgh, with that insane pass rush, I feel he will struggle and suddenly, the Steelers will find themselves sitting at 3-3. Seahawks 17 - Steelers 23

Monday, October 18th - 8:15 PM ET Buffalo Bills 4-1 @ Tennessee Titans 3-2 The Bills solidified themselves as the best team in the AFC last week, and may even be the best team in the NFL after embarrassing the Chiefs 38-20 in Kansas City. Back on the road this week, they travel to Tennessee to face the Titans. The Titans have been extremely inconsistent this season after losing to the Jets in week 4. They were dominant and showed their strengths last week versus the Jaguars.

While the Titans do have the talent offensively to compete with the Bills, I expect the Bills defense to force a big turnover late that will secure the Bills victory. Bills 35 - Titans 24
