Week 6 NFL Predictions

RECORD LAST WEEK:7-7

RECORD FOR THE SEASON: 41-37

Thursday, October, 10th, 7:15 PM CT

San Francisco 49ers 2-3 @ Seattle Seahawks 3-2

This was a more exciting game on the slate going into last week but after the Niners and

Seahawks were both upset at home against the Cardinals and Giants respectively, now it must be asked if these teams can fix the mistakes from last week in this pivotal NFC West battle. I expect the Niners to bounce back on a short week and get the win against the Seahawks.

X-Factor: George Kittle

Confidence Level:7

Sunday, October 13th, 8:30 AM CT

Jacksonville Jaguars 1-4 VS Chicago Bears 3-2

Trevor Lawrence and the Jags got their first win of the season last week and now look to take

that into this week against the Bears. Caleb Williams has gotten better every week and the

Bears defense is fantastic. I believe both those trends continue as they send the

Jaguars to a disappointing 1-5.

Jaguars 20 Bears 26

X-Factor: Caleb Williams

Confidence Level:6

Sunday, October 13th, Noon CT Games

Washington Commanders 4-1 @ Baltimore Ravens 3-2

This could be the most fun game of the week as the Ravens host the Commanders. Lamar

Jackson vs Jayden Daniels, two of the game's most dynamic quarterbacks, go head to head.

Baltimore defensively has been up and down, and while I do believe Jayden and this

Commanders offense will keep it close, I expect the Ravens to get the win.

Commanders 31 Ravens 34

X-Factor: Ravens Pass Rush

Confidence Level:7

Arizona Cardinals 2-3 @ Green Bay Packers 3-2

Arizona pulled off a comeback win over the 49ers last week and now travels to Green Bay. The Packers have been inconsistent at times on both sides of the ball, but another week of a healthy Jordan Love and Green Bay’s improving defense should be able to get their win over the Cardinals.

Cardinals 17 Packers 30

X-Factor: Jordan Love

Confidence Level:8

Houston Texans 4-1 @ New England Patriots 1-4

New England is starting their rookie quarterback Drake Maye for the first time this season, and what a defense to make your debut against. The Texans defense can get to the quarterback as well as anyone and with DeMeco Ryans calling the shots, this is a lot to ask of a rookie. New England’s defense can keep them in it, but expect a few mistakes from Maye.

Texans 24 Patriots 16

X-Factor: DeMeco Ryans

Confidence Level:10

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-2 @ New Orleans Saints 2-3

The annual rivalry between Mike Evans and Marshon Lattimore is back and the Saints will be

going into this game without quarterback Derek Carr as he’ll be out for a few weeks. Rookie

Spencer Rattler will make his debut and similar to Drake Maye, he has a tall task ahead of him. While Kirk Cousins was able to throw for 500 yards on this defense, it won’t be as easy for a rookie facing a Todd Bowles defense. I’ll take the Bucs on the road in a close one.

Buccaneers 23 Saints 20

X-Factor: Todd Bowles

Confidence Level:7

Cleveland Browns 1-4 @ Philadelphia Eagles 2-3

The Eagles return from their bye week looking to erase that nasty loss from Tampa Bay a few

weeks ago. Deshaun Watson hasn’t played well at all this season and I don’t expect him to start this weekend, even against a poor Eagles defense. Philly should have A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith back this week, so give me the Eagles to get the win at home.

Browns 13 Eagles 27

X-Factor: Deshaun Watson

Confidence Level 10

Indianapolis Colts 2-3 @ Tennessee Titans 1-3

In potentially, the least interesting game in the early slate, the Colts face their AFC South foes, the Titans. It’ll be interesting whether or not Indy will have quarterback Anthony Richardosn and running back Jonathon Taylor for this game. The Colts had a lot of success in the passing game last week in their loss to the Jags but they haven’t been able to have that same success with Richardson as he’s still going as a passer. If Joe Flacco starts, I’ll be more confident as I still think no matter how good the Titans defense is, Will Levis just bound to turn the ball over. Even if Richardson plays, I’ll have confidence, but not as much.

Colts 27 Titans 24

X-Factor: Colts Success in the Passing Game

Confidence Level with AR:6

With Flacco:8

Sunday, October 13th,3 PM CT Games

Los Angeles Chargers 2-3 @ Denver Broncos 3-2

The Chargers are coming off a bye to face a red-hot Broncos team that has won three straight games. The Chargers should be more healthy now, but this Broncos defense is creating hell forever offense they play. I think Denver will get their fourth straight win.

Chargers 16 Broncos 17

X-Factor: Chargers Offensive Line

Confidence Level:4

Pittsburgh Steelers 3-2 @ Las Vegas Raiders 2-3

Aidan O’Connell will be starting for the Raiders this week, which without Davante Adams

, I don’t see much hope going forward for this Raiders offense. The Steelers have lost two straight but they should get a win this week in Vegas.

Steelers 20 Raiders 16

X-Factor: George Pickens Effort

Confidence Level:7

Atlanta Falcons 3-2 @ Carolina Panthers 1-4

The Falcons had one of the best Thursday night wins we’ve seen in their 36-30 overtime win

over the Bucs last Thursday, now they face a Panthers team that just isn’t good. I’ll keep this

brief: the Falcons SHOULD win.

Falcons 30 Panthers 14

X-Factor: There Isn’t One Needed to Beat Carolina

Confidence Level:10

Detroit Lions 3-1 @ Dallas Cowboys 3-2

The Lions are coming off a bye to play a Cowboys team that earned a hard-fought win over the Steelers last Sunday Night. The Cowboys will have success against this Lions secondary but the balance of the Lions offense, and the weak Cowboys defense, should be enough for Detroit to get the win.

Lions 30 Cowboys 27

X-Factor: Which Cowboys Defense Shows Up

Confidence Level:6.5

Sunday, October 13th, 7:20 PM CT

Cincinnati Bengals 1-4 @ New York Giants 2-3

The Bengals suffered a disappointing loss to the Ravens last week while the Giants got a

surprising upset win over the Seahawks in Seattle. Malik Nabers should be back and have a big day against a horrific Bengals defense, but I believe in this Cincy offense to do just enough to get the win and keep their season alive.

Bengals 35 Giants 26

X-Factor: Can the Bengals Defense Force Just One Punt

Confidence Level:4

Monday, October 14th, 7:15 PM CT

Buffalo Bills 3-2 @ New York Jets 2-3

The Jets offense has been bad these last two weeks. It reached a boiling part this week as they fired head coach Robert Saleh. The crazy part is if the Jets win this game they’ll be in first place in the AFC East. The Bills have struggled to get going offensively the last two weeks. I don’t have any reason to pick the Jets other than their defense going up against a Bills team lacking dynamic weapons and separators. I’m going to reluctantly pick the Jets.

Bills 20 Jets 23
