Week 9 NFL Predictions

RECORD LAST WEEK: 9-7

RECORD FOR THE SEASON:73-50

Thursday, October 31st, 7:15PM CT

Houston Texans 6-2 @ New York Jets 2-6

I have tried one too many times with the Jets. Week in and week out, I kept my faith in this team, but no longer. Aaron Rodgers said this week he found the fountain of youth, but I won’t fall for it again. The Texans are the better team, and I believe in Houston, which has its own problems, getting the win on the road.

Texans 24, Jets 23

Confidence Level:7

X-Factor: Texans Offensive Line

Best Bet: Tank Dell Over 4.5 Receptions

Sunday, November 3rd, Noon Games CT

Denver Broncos 5-3 @ Baltimore Ravens 5-3

The best game of the early slate occurs in Baltimore as the Ravens face the Broncos. Denver is the winner of five of their last six. Baltimore had a five-game win streak before being upset against their divisional rival, the Browns, last week in Cleveland. Baltimore allows 291 passing yards per game, which ranks dead last in the NFL. If Bo Nix and the Broncos offense can take advantage of it, they can keep it close, but I still believe Baltimore comes out on top. Broncos 21 Ravens 24

Confidence Level:8

X-Factor: Ravens Pass Defense

Best Bet: Bo Nix over 212.5 Passing Yards

Los Angeles Chargers 4-3 @ Cleveland Browns 2-6

The Browns won big over the Ravens, as Jameis Winston ignited the Browns' offense. The Chargers won over the Saints last week and are now in what should be a defensive slugfest. I’m going to pick the Chargers to squeak out a close one.

Chargers 20, Browns 19

Confidence Level: 5

X-Factor: Jameis Winston

Best Bet: Under 43

Washington Commanders 6-2 @ New York Giants 2-6

The first meeting between these two teams ended in a close 21-18 win for the Commanders. The Commanders are coming off an insane win over the Bears that ended in a Hail Mary. The Giants have played some close games, but here they sit at 2-6, still having the same quarterback problems they’ve had for years. Jayden Daniels builds his MVP case further with a win on the road in New York.

Commanders 27 Giants 17

Confidence Level:9

X-Factor: Jayden Daniels

Best Bet: Daniel Jones Over 0.5 Interception

Dallas Cowboys 3-4 @ Atlanta Falcons 5-3

The Cowboys travel to Atlanta to face the Falcons. Dallas is in a must-win scenario, as falling to 3-5 puts them in a dangerous place in the NFC Playoff race, considering the schedule they have coming up is very difficult. Atlanta got a big win over the Bucs to sit them solely atop first place in the NFC South. I believe Atlanta gets the win over Dallas in a high-scoring game. Cowboys 26 Falcons 30

Confidence Level:8

X-Factor: Can the Falcons get that one key turnover they’ve gotten in just about every win?

Best Bet: Over 52

Miami Dolphins 2-5 @ Buffalo Bills 6-2

A loss here would essentially end the Dolphins' season, and sadly for them, they have to face a Bills team that has had their number for years. Buffalo defeated them earlier this year, and with the way Buffalo is playing, I think Buffalo will continue its dominance over Miami.

Dolphins 17 Bills 30

Confidence Level:8

X-Factor: Josh Allen

Best Bet: Josh Allen Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns

New England 2-6 @ Tennessee Titans 1-6

Two teams with their young quarterbacks injured square off in Tennessee. Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye, suffered a concussion last week in the Patriots' win over the Jets, and Titans second-year quarterback Will Levis, is still battling a shoulder injury. In the snore of the week, I’ll give the Patriots the win on the road.

Patriots 21 Titans 17

Confidence Level:1

X-Factor: Whoever Starts at Quarterback for New England

Best Bet: Under 5 Minutes of Me Watching This Game

Las Vegas Raiders 2-6 @ Cincinnati Bengals 3-5

The Raiders face the Bengals in a matchup of two disappointing teams. Cincy lost to the Eagles last week 37-17, while the Raiders lost to the Chiefs 27-20. The Raiders don’t have the offense to keep up with the Bengals, so give me Cincy to keep their postseason hopes alive.

Raiders 17 Bengals 28

Confidence Level:8

X-Factor: Bengals Defense

Best Bet: Joe Burrow Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns

New Orleans Saints 2-6 @ Carolina Panthers 1-7

Another game most won’t be watching features the Saints and Panthers. New Orleans is on a six-game losing streak, while Carolina is on a five-game losing streak. Carolina is sticking with Bryce Young at quarterback, but ultimately, it won’t matter, as New Orleans has the better team.

Saints 19 Panthers 13

Confidence Level:5

X-Factor: Chris Olave

Best Bet: Saints Moneyline

Sunday, November 3rd, 3PM Games

Chicago Bears 4-3 @ Arizona Cardinals 4-4

The Bears are looking to bounce back from a gut-wrenching defeat, while the Cardinals look to build on their two-game win streak. Kyler Murray is playing at an elite level right now, but I believe in Caleb Williams and the Bears' defense to bounce back from last week's loss and help the Bears win.

Bears 26 Cardinals 23

Confidence Level:4

X-Factor:Bears Defense

Best Bet: Bears +2

Jacksonville Jaguars 2-6 @ Philadelphia Eagles 5-2

The Eagles have been hot recently while the Jags continue to fall. We can keep this one short and expect a big day from the Eagles offense and another disappointing loss for the Jaguars, adding to their season of complete failure.

Jaguars 19 Eagles 30

Confidence Level:10

X-Factor: Saquon Barkley

Best Bet: Anything on the Eagles Offense

Detroit Lions 6-1 @ Green Bay Packers 6-2

The game of the week is for first place in the NFC North. The Detroit Lions travel to Lambeau to face the Packers. Jordan Love suffered a groin injury last week, and his status is up in the air for this massive game. If Love was healthy, I’d pick Green Bay, but since he’s hobbled, give me the Lions to stay atop the division.

Lions 30 Packers 24

Confidence Level: With Love 5.5 Without Love: 9

X-Factor: Jordan Love’s health

Best Bet: Over 48

Los Angeles Rams 3-4 @ Seattle Seahawks 4-4

Another matchup with division stakes. The entire NFC West is no more than a game apart, and the Rams need this win to stay in the hunt. Seattle got blown out last week against the Bills, and it just seems like Seattle can’t find any form of consistency. With the Rams getting healthier, I’ll pick them to get a big road division win.

Rams 27 Seahawks 23

Confidence Level:3

X-Factor: Sean McVay

Best Bet: Kyren Williams Anytime Touchdown

Sunday, November 3rd, 7:20PM CT

Indianapolis Colts 4-4 @ Minnesota Vikings 5-2

The Colts have had their fair share of drama this week after benching quarterback Anthony Richardson in favor of Joe Flacco. With Flacco at the helm, Indy can compete in the passing game against a Vikings defense that has given up a lot of yards through the air. The Colts will hang around, but the Vikings get the win at home, ending their two-game losing streak.

Colts 24 Vikings 29

Confidence Level:9.5

X-Factor: Joe Flacco

Best Bet: Aaron Jones Over 70.5 Rushing Yards

Monday, November 4th, 7:15PM CT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4-4 @ Kansas City Chiefs 7-0

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, despite their injuries, played a hard-fought game last week against the Falcons but came up just short. Now, they must face the back-to-back defending World Champions on the road. The Chiefs' defense has been fantastic, giving the offense time to find itself amongst the many injuries the Chiefs have sustained offensively. Kansas City remains undefeated this season.

Buccaneers 14 Chiefs 24

Confidence Level: 9

X-Factor: Chiefs defense

Best Bet: Patrick Mahomes Over 0.5 Interception
