RECORD LAST WEEK 10-6
RECORD FOR THE SEASON 18-13-1
Thursday, September 22nd – 7:15 PM CDT
Pittsburgh Steelers 1-1 @ Cleveland Browns 1-1
Both these AFC North teams are looking to bounce back after suffering losses last week. The Steelers offense was abysmal last week in a 16-14 loss to the Patriots while the Browns blew a 13-point lead in the final minutes to the Jets. The Browns game plan will be simply to let Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt loose and hope your defense is worn down in the fourth
quarter for them to put the game away. Pittsburgh ranks 22nd in rush defense allowing 128.5 yards per game. Pittsburgh offensively, looks to find a spark after complaints from Diontae Johnson and Najee Harris, the Steelers young playmakers, may be in for a big game. The problem with that is Mitch Trubisky, and offensive coordinator Matt Canada, haven’t put their highly skilled wide receivers and running back in positions to succeed. A short week and being on the road team won’t allow them to fix those issues.

Sunday, September 25th, 12:00 PM CDT Games
New Orleans Saints 1-1 @ Carolina Panthers 0-2
The Saints offense was horrendous last week as they lost to the Bucs 24-10 in a game where the offense committed five turnovers. The Panthers are 0-2 after a loss to the Giants last week in the Big Apple. A win this week is crucial for any type of hopes Carolina has for competing for a playoff spot. This Saints defense, however, is fantastic and the Saints should have Alvin Kamara back this week, give me the Saints getting the W.
Saints 23 - Panthers 13
Houston Texans 0-1-1 @ Chicago Bears 1-1
Tell me if you’re starting to see a trend here...These two offenses were bad last week as the Texans could only muster up 9 points and the Bears didn’t do much better scoring 10. This game figures to be very low scoring, but I’m going to roll with Justin Fields and the Bears to pull out the win in a defensive battle.
Texans 17 - Bears 19
Kansas City Chiefs 2-0 @ Indianapolis Colts 1-1
The Chiefs demise was determined prematurely, as they have gotten off to a 2-0 start. They travel to play the Colts, who are a mess right now. Indy was shut out last week in their house of horrors, aka Jacksonville. The Colts hired defensive coordinator Gus Bradley this offseason, and in past matchups against Patrick Mahomes, it hasn’t been good for Gus and his teams. Mahomes in seven games versus a Gus Bradley-coached defense, has thrown for
17 touchdowns to only 2 interceptions. The Colts haven’t been good on either side of the ball and although I do expect them to come out fighting for their lives in their home opener, I just expect Mahomes and company to be too much.
Chiefs 31 - Colts 20
Buffalo Bills 2-0 @ Miami Dolphins 2-0
This could very well be the game of the week. The Bills have run through their first two opponents outscoring the Rams and Titans by a combined score of 72-17. Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs are at peak power right now, and Von Miller has shown to still have a lot of juice left. Miami is coming off a tremendous comeback win in Baltimore, they were down 35-14 going into the fourth quarter and ended up pulling out a 42-38 win. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle have a claim to be the best wide receiving duo in the league, after only two games together, and they will test a Bills secondary that doesn’t have Tre White back yet. I do think the Bills defense will cause Tua some problems, and the Bills move to 3-0.
Bills 34 - Dolphins 24
Detroit Lions 1-1 @ Minnesota Vikings 1-1
The Lions showed their extraordinary offensive potential last week in a win over the Commanders while the Vikings were embarrassed by the Eagles on Monday night. This game should be fun between two explosive offenses, but in the end, I expect Kirk Cousins to get back on track and the Vikings defense to perform much better than it did last week, and they’ll get a close win over a Lions team with great potential.
Lions 23 - Vikings 28
Baltimore Ravens 1-1 @ New England Patriots 1-1
The Ravens defense was horrendous in the second half against the Dolphins, but they won’t have to deal with the same type of weapons going against New England. The Patriots got a 16-14 win over the Steelers. Lamar and the Ravens won’t play this week. I predict them to get back on track in Foxboro.
Ravens 26 - Patriots 17
Cincinnati Bengals 0-2 @ New York Jets 1-1
The reigning defending AFC Champions are 0-2, playing a Jets team playing with a lot of confidence especially, after pulling off a miracle comeback win last week in Cleveland. The Jets offense has some nice weapons in Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore, Breece Hall, and Michael Carter, while their defense has played well for the most part through two weeks.
The Jets also upset the Bengals last year in New York, and I say all this to say...I am still
picking the Bengals to get their first win this week.
Bengals 27 - Jets 20
Las Vegas Raiders 0-2 @ Tennessee Titans 0-2
These two teams need their first win BAD. Both teams made the playoffs last year, and are
off to slow starts in the AFC where you can’t lose ground, or you’ll be eliminated quickly. The Raiders blew a 20-0 lead to the Cardinals, and ended up losing 29-23, while the Titans got destroyed on Monday night by the Bills 41-7. The Titans allowed Stefon Diggs to go for 12 catches, 148 yards, and 3 touchdowns. Yeah, Davante Adams is next, they might want to fix that pass defense immediately.
Raiders 30 - Titans 24
Philadelphia Eagles 2-0 @ Washington Commanders 1-1
The Eagles look amazing through two weeks, and Jalen Hurts is an early MVP candidate. The
Commanders lost to the Lions last week allowing 36 points to a talented offense. This Philly offense is just as good, if not better, and although I expect the Commanders to keep it close, I have Philly pulling out the win.
Eagles 28 - Commanders 24
Sunday, September 25th - 3:05 PM CDT
Jacksonville Jaguars 1-1 @ Los Angeles Chargers 1-1
A trip across the country for the Jags, as they play the Chargers in LA. The Jaguars are coming off a 24-0 win over the Colts, while the Chargers suffered a close loss to the Chiefs last Thursday. I think if Herbert is well rested, and they get Keenan Allen back, the Chargers will run away with this one, and their pass-rushing duo of Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack, will take over.
Jaguars 17 - Chargers 28
Sunday, September 25th - 3:25 PM CDT Games
Los Angeles Rams 1-1 @ Arizona Cardinals 1-1
Both these teams won last week and now hope to keep that momentum going in a game between two NFC West foes. Kyler Murray must carry the entire team on his back right now for them to have any success, and that’s a hard task going against the Super Bowl champs.
Rams 26 - Cardinals 17
Atlanta Falcons 0-2 @ Seattle Seahawks 1-1
The Falcons stayed out West after losing to the Rams last week. They play another NFC West
opponent in the Seattle Seahawks, who came back down to earth last week in a 27-7 loss to the 49ers. The Falcons offense has surprisingly been pretty good even with a lack of targets for their star tight end Kyle Pitts. I’m going with the Falcons in an upset.
Falcons 23 - Seahawks 20
Green Bay Packers 1-1 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2-0
Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers head-to-head possibly for the final time. While both Quarterbacks will always be the headline, it’s their defenses that should be getting the attention. I expect a low-scoring game for Rodgers vs Brady standards, but the Bucs get the best of the Packers yet again.
Packers 23 - Bucs 24
Sunday, September 25th - 7:20 PM CDT
San Francisco 49ers 1-1 @ Denver Broncos 1-1
Jimmy G is back at the helm for the 49ers after Trey Lance sadly suffered a fractured ankle, sidelining him for the season. The 49ers beat the Seahawks 27-7, and the struggling Broncos won 16-9 over the Texans. The Broncos offense has struggled in the red zone, but they have moved the ball with ease; they just need to finish drives with touchdowns instead of field goals. Both defenses have been fantastic to start the season, but Denver is a hard place to win especially, in primetime. I have Russell Wilson having his breakout game this week and
the Broncos moving to 2-1
49ers 21 - Broncos 26
Monday, September 26th - 7:15 PM CDT
Dallas Cowboys 1-1 @ New York Giants 2-0
The NFC East-leading New York Giants sounds weird, doesn’t it? But, here they are at 2-0
and new Head Coach Brian Daboll has them seriously believing. The Cowboys pulled off an
impressive victory over the Bengals last week. I like the Giants to win this one, though they’re confident right now, and Saquon Barkley is back to himself, give me the G-Men.
Cowboys 17 - Giants 21
