Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0-1 @ Carolina Panthers 0-1
An NFC South matchup kicks off week two. Tampa Bay travels to Carolina as both teams look to get their first win of the season. Last week, we were able to see more of the disappointing career of former number one overall pick Jameis Winston. Winston threw three interceptions, with two of them being returned for scores in a 31-17 loss to the 49ers. Cam Newton struggled last week as well against the Rams, as Newton gave up the ball a few times. I think Tampa Bay isn’t ready to go on the road and beat their rivals. Carolina should win this one.

Arizona Cardinals 0-0-1@ Baltimore Ravens 1-0
Kyler Murray was under duress for the first three quarters of his first start last week against the Lions, then in the fourth quarter, he turned it on making several beautiful throws to get the Cardinals back into the game and eventually send it to overtime. Arizona ended up tying with the Lions, and we can now look for their first win. Lamar Jackson came out and shocked his critics. Lamar had five passing touchdowns, showing off the incredible offseason work he put into his throwing mechanics. If he can remain consistent with his passing, Baltimore should be a team to look out for this season. Baltimore will take this one.

Dallas Cowboys 1-0 @ Washington Redskins 0-1
The Cowboys’ new offense looked really dangerous as new Offensive Coordinator, Kellen Moore had the offense looking like a well-oiled machine. Dak Prescott showed doubters what he can do by tossing four touchdowns to four different receivers in a 35-17 beatdown against the Giants. The Redskins blew a 17-point lead last week to Philly, but quickly showed that with the right coaching, Case Keenum can win you ball games. Now he’ll have to do so against another good defense and hope that Washington won’t crumble in the second half. Give me Dallas to get back to their dominant ball control formula this week.

Indianapolis Colts 0-1 @ Tennessee Titans 1-0
The Colts showed that this isn’t the same team from 2017 that went 4-12 without Andrew Luck. Jacoby Brissett can lead this team to the playoffs with the talent they have this season. Marlon Mack, who had 174 yards was a pleasant surprise, and with the offensive line the Colts have, they can make some noise. Tennessee is coming off a shocking 43-13 win over the Browns, and they proved that they won’t go down without a fight. This defense is tough, and you’ll have to earn your points against them. I think this will be a tough game, but the Titans will pull through in the end.

Seattle Seahawks 1-0 @ Pittsburgh Steelers 0-1
The Seahawks had a tough battle with the Bengals last week while Pittsburgh got spanked by the Patriots. I normally don’t like teams traveling across the country, but this Seahawks team is talented we saw a good debut from DK Metcalf and of course Russell Wilson is underrated and underappreciated for everything he does. Pittsburgh will come out mad after only scoring three points last week, and I think Big Ben will right the ship this week and Pittsburgh gets the win.

Buffalo Bills 1-0 @ New York Giants 0-1
The Bills showed their resiliency last week by coming back from 13 down against the Jets, and now they play again in Metlife Stadium. The Bills’ defense is tough, and they will need to be against maybe the best running back in the league,Saquon Barkley. This Giants secondary was absolutely picked apart last week by Dak Prescott in Dallas. They will look to bounce back against a Bills’ offense that doesn’t have the weapons or quarterback Dallas has this season. I feel that the Giants can win this game with a healthy dose of Saquon, and I pick them this week for the win.

Patriots 1-0 @ Miami Dolphins 0-1
The AFC East rivalry that has given Tom Brady the most issues shouldn’t give him any this week. The Dolphins were reported to have several players ask for trades after they got destroyed 59-10 by the Ravens. I can only imagine what Tom Brady is about to come in and do for the game, especially if Antonio Brown plays.

San Francisco 49ers 1-0 @ Cincinnati Bengals 0-1
The 40ers defense played well last week, but this week, they will have more of a challenge. Zac Taylor has this Bengals’ offense looking way different, and Taylor may have even unlocked the potential in John Ross we’ve been waiting to see. Jimmy G will need to be better and put up points this week after the defense scored 14 of the 49ers 31 points. The Bengals are better than I thought, and I think this week will see an even better performance from Andy Dalton and company.

Jacksonville Jaguars 0-1 @ Houston Texans 1-0
Jacksonville’s defense didn’t look anywhere near their normal stout selves as Kansas City just scored and scored and scored again last week at will. Now they go up against another young superstar quarterback in Deshaun Watson, and with Nick Foles on IR, they must hope Gardner Minshew can give the offense the same performance he gave last week. He played well, but now he must take that on the road against JJ Watt and the Texans’ defense. Houston will be mad after they gave away a game last week against New Orleans, and they’ll take care of business this week.

Los Angeles Chargers 1-0 @ Detroit Lions 0-0-1
The Chargers had a dominant 4th quarter lead over the Colts last week, but then ended up in overtime where they hung on. The Chargers lost tight end Hunter Henry this week another injury to this team, but they may have found a Melvin Gordon replacement in Austin Ekeler who had a good game last week with 154 total yards and three touchdowns. Detroit also blew the big lead they had last week against the Cardinals, and in overtime ended up tying. I think this will be an air show between Phillip Rivers and Matt Stafford in which the Chargers will win at the last second.

Minnesota Vikings 1-0 @ Green Bay Packers 1-0
This will be agood game between the two teams that I believe will be battling for the NFC title. Kirk Cousins and the Vikings will travel to Green Bay to pay Aaron Rodgers a visit. The Vikings dominated the Falcons last week on both sides of the ball, and now look to take that momentum into this week. Green Bay showed something we hadn’t seen from them in awhile, which was defense granted against Mitch Tribusky. They still played very well holding the Bears to three points. Now they must play the high-powered Vikings offense a real test. Aaron Rodgers will want to improve on the 10 points Green Bay scored last week. I think this game can go either way but, in the end, I think Minnesota is too versatile and will pull out the win on the road.

Kansas City Chiefs 1-0 @ Oakland Raiders 1-0
The Chiefs picked things up right where they left off from last season, scoring 40 points on a talented Jaguars’ defense. They will be without Tyreek Hill for four to six weeks after he suffered a collarbone injury early last week. With everything they have been going through with the Antonio Brown drama, the Raiders came out and played a complete game on Monday Night against the Broncos. Derek Carr looked like the franchise quarterback the Raiders have hoped he would be, while running back Josh Jacobs had a very quality debut scoring two touchdowns. This is a sneaky good game this week, and both teams should put up a lot of points. On Monday night, the Raiders’ defense looked impressive for the most part , but that was against a pour Broncos offense. Now they must face reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes, and I won’t be the one to pick against the MVP this week.

New Orleans Saints 1-0 @ Los Angeles Rams 1-0
A rematch of last years NFC Championship game comes with great intrigue, as we all know how the Saints were pretty much screwed out of a Super Bowl by the refs look to gain some form of revenge against the Rams. The Saints had the best game of week one in a back and forth matchup with the Texans, as the Saints won on a last second 58-yard field goal by Will Lutz. The Rams went to Carolina and got a full dose of Christian McCaffrey who gave them 208 total yards and a pair of touchdowns. Now they will have to find a way to stop Alvin Kamara arguably a better version of McCaffrey. Todd Gurley looked pretty good last week sharing touches with Malcolm Brown. The Saints tend to not play as well on the road, so in this one, I’m rolling with the Rans to pull out the victory in a heavyweight battle.

Chicago Bears 0-1 @ Denver Broncos 0-1
Here are two teams that both rely on defense due to offensive issues. If you love defensive battles, this is the game for you. Khalil Mack and the Bears travel to face Von Miller and the Broncos with both teams needing a win to not fall behind early in their respective tough divisions. The Bears’defense held an Aaron Rodgers led offense to 10 points and lost due to their inept offense which could only muster three points. Now Mitch Tribusky must deal with that loud Denver crowd and a Denver defense led by former Bears Defensive Coordinator, Vic Fangio. Mitch will have to be play better this week on the road to win this game. Joe Flacco (who didn’t play terribly), didn’t play well either and held onto the ball too long multiple times last week against the Raiders. He can’t do that this week against Khalil Mack and the crew. I think the Broncos’ run game and defense will prevail over the Bears this week in Denver.

Philadelphia Eagles 1-0 @ Atlanta Falcons 0-1
The Eagles started off very slowly last week against the Redskins by getting down 17-0, but then Carson Wentz reminded us of who he is on the field. The Eagles’ plethora of weapons were too much to keep down and they exploded for a 32-27 win. The Falcons on the other hand were dominated in the trenches on both offense and defense. If they got dominated by the lines of the Vikings, I can only imagine how Philly will fair against the Falcons. The Eagles arguably have the best offensive and defensive line in the league, and although Atlanta will come out better this week (especially being at home), but in the end, I think Philly will beat Atlanta for the third in the past three years.

Cleveland Browns 0-1 @ New York Jets 0-1
The Browns had a terrible debut last week losing to the Titans 43-13. Now they hope to show people they can face adversity by going to beat the Jets on the road. The Jets blew a 13-point fourth quarter lead to the Bills and now are without Sam Darnold (mono) for this game and maybe more. Trevor Siemian steps in and is capable of winning games, but you must hope Le’veon Bell plays as he is dealing with a shoulder injury, and if he is out, it’ll be a long day for the Jets’ offense. The Jets’ defense will be frustrated after blowing the lead last week, but I think Cleveland answers the critics this week getting their first victory.
